CMTG 0007 - Basic Substitute
*Basic/Certified Substitute Teacher Training has a minimum of five students per class. If the minimum is not met, the class will be rescheduled.
This 4-hour live course is designed to provide prospective substitute teachers with the principles and practices of effective teaching. The extensive curriculum focuses on roles and responsibilities of substitute teachers, skills for basic classroom management, instructional techniques, and classroom safety in addition to professionalism and setting the scene for success for both teachers and students. Participants will leave with a thorough understanding of effective teaching principles and prepared for future substitute teaching assignments. |
CMTG 0006 - Certified Substitute

This 4-hour live course is designed to provide substitute teachers who have completed the basic training with a more in depth look at the principles and practices of effective teaching. The Certified Substitute Teacher training curriculum further explores the roles and responsibilities of substitute teachers by examining how to set and execute classroom procedures and define classroom expectations. Substitute teachers will learn techniques to help guide students to success. Participants will exit the course with a thorough understanding of effective teaching principles and prepared for future substitute teaching assignments as a certified substitute teacher. |
